our team. Were offering£11,500 - £12,400 per session, and we would love
to welcome someone who enjoys working in a supportive, upbeat environment. I
started as a registrar here 10 years ago.. and have yet to find somewhere I
would prefer to work !
Were based in the stunning South Devon area think unspoilt
coastline, rolling countryside, a National Park, and plenty of lovely towns and
villages to explore. If you have children, there is also a great choice of
schools including 3 grammar schools if your children are older.

About us
We look after more than26,000 patientsacross
our main site in Paignton and our branch in Torquay. Our team is big, busy, and
genuinely a pleasure to work with :22 GPs, ANPs, Paramedics,
Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers and a brilliant management, nursing,
reception, and admin crew who keep everything running smoothly.
One thing were especially proud of is how well we support
new GPs. Whether you are newly qualified or just new to us, you will never be left
feeling stuck ourDuty Doctoreach day has no booked patients
and is there purely to help with queries and provide backup in our acute hub.
We also have all face to face as 15 minute appointments and
contacts are capped at 25 a day.
Were an EMIS Web practice and run a hybrid system of acute,
on-the-day triage alongside planned, pre-booked appointments. There are also
great opportunities forportfolio working, including roles within
the local Integrated Care Team and other evolving PCN projects.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary
care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Responsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self
available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone
consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat
prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether
self-referred or referred from other health care workers.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed
problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management
protocols.
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Collecting data for audit purposes
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever
this is clinically appropriate
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and
responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
