Job summary
As a Practice Nurse/Nursing Associate, you will be involved in a wide variety of essential nursing duties, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a forward-thinking and patient-centred environment. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in chronic disease management and a prescribing qualification (highly desirable) to support patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Chronic Disease Management Experience in managing chronic conditions, such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes, with an ability to provide patient-centred care plans and reviews. A prescribing qualification is highly desirable to further enhance chronic disease management support.
- Womens Health Services Including cervical screening (smears) and contraceptive advice, in line with UK standards and guidelines.
- Childhood Immunisations Providing vaccinations and immunisation support, promoting a healthy start for children.
- Travel Health Advice and Vaccinations Supporting patients with essential travel health services, including vaccination administration and patient education on travel-related health.
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Offering lifestyle advice, smoking cessation support, and proactive health education to improve patients' well-being.
- Wound Care and Management Delivering assessment and management of wounds, including dressings and suture removal, ensuring best-practice care and timely healing.
- Infection Control and Cold Chain Management Ensuring safe infection control practices and adherence to vaccination storage protocols.
