Affinity Care is a large, forward-thinking GP partnership
committed to developing clinical talent through supported learning and
education. We are proud to host a VTS (Vocational Training Scheme) Practice
Nurse opportunity for a newly qualified or nurse new to primary care. This role
is ideal for enthusiastic nurses who wish to build their skills and confidence
in General Practice.
You will be embedded into one of our Affinity Care practices
and receive dedicated clinical supervision, mentorship, and structured
training. This includes study time, placements, and access to fully-funded CPD
modules focused on core general practice skills and long-term condition
management.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in all scheduled clinical education and practical placements
- Deliver evidence-based care under supervision
- Support patients in managing long-term conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, CVD)
- Assist with immunisations, wound care, cervical screening, health checks, and health promotion
- Maintain accurate records using SystemOne
- Engage in reflective practice and quality improvement

We are Affinity Care Primary Care Network covering a population of over 64,000 patients over 7 GP practices and 8 sites, all in the Bradford area. - Regular peer learning and support via West Yorkshire Training Hub
