Monarch Medical Centre is seeking to recruit a highly
motivated, productive, and proactive Practice Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organisational
and operational leadership, service improvement and delivering key targets
across the full range of clinical and administrative areas.

Candidates must be conscientious, have proven leadership and project
management experience. A sound knowledge of practice management, finance, human
resources and planning as well as effective communication skills at all levels
are essential for this position.
Supported by an excellent clinical & administrative team you will be
expected to have vision, willingness & drive, be adaptable & efficient.
The Practice Manager is a pivotal member of the organisation and will be
expected to lead & support the team to achieve its aims and objectives with
professionalism.
The post will involve implementing the overall operational business
strategy, reviewing current processes, plans, and procedures to ensure the
practice meets its agreed aims and objectives, within a profitable, efficient,
safe and effective working environment, whilst maintaining a high standard of
patient care.

training practice situated in Greater Manchester, serving 3700 registered
patients. The practice has a strong tradition of providing high quality,
patient centred care to our local community. We work with a team of two part time
pharmacists; one of our partners are GP trains medical students and we support a culture of
learning and development within the practice. We work with a very effective and
experienced nursing team which provides for all chronic diseases. We are an ambitious, positive, outward looking and

The following are the core responsibilities of the practice
manager. There may be on occasion a requirement to carry out other tasks; this
will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The practice manager is responsible for:
- Overseeing
the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their
primary responsibilities
- Functional
management of all administrative and clinical staff
- Operational
line management of the entire practice
- Managing
the recruitment and retention of staff
- Evaluate,
organise and oversee staff induction and training, and ensure that all
staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role
- Monitor
and manage sickness and holidays
- Develop
and implement effective staff appraisal and monitoring systems
- Implement
effective systems for the resolution of disputes and grievances
- Keep
abreast of changes in employment legislation
- Maintain
up-to-date HR documentation (including job descriptions, employment
contracts and employment policies)
- Oversee
coordination of the placement of GP Registrars and medical students
- Managing
contracts for services
- Leading
change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinating
the reviewing and updating of all practice policies and procedures
- Coordinate
and lead the compilation of practice reports and the practice development
plan (PDP)

and embedding an efficient business resilience plan (BRP)

of CQC policies and monitor when due for review and republishing
