We have an exciting opportunity for an
enthusiastic and motivated HCA to join our Nursing Team!
Previous experience and clinical skills
are desirable, especially in Phlebotomy. All training for additional skills
will be offered to appropriate candidate.
The position is for up to 21 hours per week, you would be based at New Milton Health Centre Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Flexibility to cover sickness and holiday is
essential, and cross-site working may be necessary.
Main duties of the job
Duties
and responsibilities:
New patient health checks
ECG recording
Phlebotomy
Spirometry
Urinalysis
Dressings, wound/ leg ulcer care
Administration of appropriate injections and vaccinations
Any other clinical procedures or assessments as deemed appropriate and
adequately trained
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and
after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance
of minor operations
