Job summary

The Marketing & Communications Executive will play a key role in shaping how Brownlow Health communicates with patients, staff, and the wider community. Working within a growing communications team, the postholder will lead on the design, creation and delivery of engaging, accessible, and high-quality marketing and communication activities across a range of digital and offline channels.

This is a proactive, hands-on role that requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and operational teams. The postholder will support the development of Brownlow Healths brand with excellent design skills, strengthen our online presence, and help deliver impactful campaigns that support patient care and organisational priorities.

Main duties of the job

Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for all digital platforms, including website, social media, podcasts, reception TV screens and newsletters.

Produce graphics, videos, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva.

Manage day-to-day digital engagement, ensuring timely and professional responses and forwarding on any relevant patient messages received appropriately.

Grow our followers and other engagement metrics.

Monitor analytics, report on performance, and make data-led recommendations.

Write clear, accessible content tailored to diverse patient groups.

Ensure all messaging aligns with Brownlow Healths tone of voice, values, and brand guidelines.

Work with internal teams to gather stories, updates, and insights for use in campaigns and communications by planning ahead.

Support the creation of printed materials such as posters, banners, leaflets, and patient information.

Develop the Brownlow Health brand guidelines and ensure it is being used throughout the organisation.

Lead and support multi-channel communication campaigns on health promotion, service updates, recruitment, and seasonal initiatives such as flu.

Assist with planning and delivery of key projects including Freshers Fair 2025 and other major community events.

  • Support with external written briefs to agencies e.g. outdoor media.

4. Website & Digital Transformation

  • Play a key role in continuing to develop Brownlow Healths newly launched website.
  • Liaise with internal teams to gather, curate, and edit content.
  • Work with external agencies to brief, support progress, design decisions, and deadlines, e.g. outdoor media.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, engaging, accessible, and reflective of communication best practice and NHS accessibility standards.

5. Internal Communications

  • Support internal messaging to improve staff engagement and organisational awareness.
  • Create content for internal updates, staff newsletters, and workplace campaigns.
  • Support the development of internal communications following a recent staff wide survey.

6. Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to the planning and development of Brownlow Healths marketing and communications strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient engagement and enhance our community presence.
