Job summary

To work with the PCN Pharmacy Team to improve the quality, effectiveness and safety of prescribing across the PCN both in GP practices and their associated care homes. To contribute to achieving the PCN Direct Enhanced Service contract (DES)

Main duties of the job

Medicines reconciliation

audit and safety reviews

risk reduction

providing medicines education

supporting the network vaccination programme

cost efficiency and managing the electronic and repeat prescribing processes.

  • BTEC National Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science, NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • General Pharmaceutical Council Registration as a Pharmacy Technician

Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Primary Care Pharmacy Technician
