Job summary

The Central Liverpool Primary Care Network have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Network. The successful candidate will join the existing team and work collaboratively with the 9 practices within Central Liverpool Primary Care Network supporting the practices and their nursing teams to deliver excellent care. The post holder will offer support to the individual practices including mentorship for the nursing teams and supervision as required. They will have the opportunity to work with practices and the Enhanced Training Hub to influence training events. The candidate must have experience in Primary Care and management.

Main duties of the job

Liaising with the 9 GP practices within the Central Liverpool PCN to offer support for the nursing team and improve access and care for patients. The role will involve clinical sessions (Monday Saturday) and strategic management collaborating with practices.

Management of the nursing/clinical team for the CLPCN to include preceptorship, mentorship, and staff development.

Nursing revalidation support.

To develop two-way communication between nurses working in general practice and the work of the ICB.

Recruitment of clinical and non-clinical staff.

Working with the ICB and commissioners for service development.

Initiating new services and working with the Service Leads and commissioners.

Participation in audit/clinical governance issues such as record keeping, patient satisfaction. Maintaining and monitoring any requested details. Implementation of any actions required following audit with the aim of improving quality of services.

Reporting of untoward incidents, accidents, and complaints to the Service Leads.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Participating in the teaching of other health professionals (to include junior staff and pre and post registration students) and other agencies as required.

Maintaining a high level of service to patients in the absence of a doctor and referral to alternative clinics/agencies as appropriate.

The post holder will lead on delivery of network clinical governance, including internal PCN processes as well as production of a quarterly governance reports. They will identify themes and trends and facilitate shared learning to drive improvements.

The post holder will ensure Issues and Risks are identified and managed in line with SOPs. They will use the processes as opportunities to ensure robust mitigations and identify areas for improvement, and ensure strong communication at all times.

We require applicants whose native language is not English to demonstrate their competence in the English language. This can be demonstrated by:

- Providing Certification of English proficiency
