Job summary
Cripps Health Centre is looking to expand our large admin team with a dedicated and hardworking new results administrator. We are based in a large health centre situated on the beautiful University of Nottingham campus.
The role includes numerous administrative tasks relating to processing incoming tests results and follow ups as well a a number of other duties to support the rest of the team.

Main duties of the job
A support role focused on
managing incoming clinical results and data, including inputting data onto
electronic patient records, and ensuring timely follow-up with patients for
further results or appointments.
Key duties include processing laboratory results,
transcribing clinical correspondence, extracting data for reporting,
maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring data security and
confidentiality.This role is crucial for the efficient operation of the
surgery, supporting the GPs and the administration team in maintaining high
standards of patient care and data management.
As part of a large team, the duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by the Medical Results Administrator may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Practice Manager and Admin Manager, dependent on current and evolving Practice workload and staffing levels.

process the daily incoming results. To update medical records with incoming results
and arrange appointments for those patients, for monitoring and follow up.
Maintain
the Practices call and recall systems to ensure monitoring and follow up are
consistent and timely.
Communicate
effectively with GPs and clinical staff regarding incoming lab results and
externally with NUH laboratories. Ensure processes are kept up to date and
regularly reviewed.
Work
closely with other key members of the admin team to understand how the administrative
team collaborates and how each role works in harmony to provide good quality
care to all patients.
Ensure
the decisions you make always has patient safety at the forefront (within your
administrative capacity).
Review
patient medical records, both paper and electronic, to ensure all relevant
clinical data is recorded correctly and accurately into the electronic system.
Be able to work both on your own initiative and within a team comprehensively across the EMIS clinical system to ensure results and follow
ups can be delivered in a timely manner, along with GP requests to see patients
for follow up and monitoring.
Filing
and retrieving paperwork.
Undertake
administrative duties to help cover annual leave and sickness.
Providing
clerical assistance to Practice staff as required from time to time, including
word/data processing, filing and photocopying.
Any
other roles and responsibilities that the practice deem appropriate.
