Job summary
To
provide medical services and deal with a wide range of health needs within a
primary care setting, ensuring high standards of care for all registered and
temporary patients.
In
general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties
and responsibilities associated with being a GP in a primary care setting.
Main duties of the job
The
post-holder will undertake clinical sessions (routine and on-call), which may
comprise face to face, video or telephone consultations and include management of clinical e-consultations plus home visits. Any
test-results, written communications, reports and queries generated from these
consultations would fall under their remit.
Screening
patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, provide
counselling and health education, acting upon alerts and reminders during their
consultations and where appropriate be involved in the development of care
plans.
Naturally
maintaining continued education, keeping up to date with best practice and
participating in relevant training programmes, they would also alert other
members of the team to issues regarding quality and risk, whilst taking
accountability for their own actions and would follow the surgerys' policies
and protocols including (but not limited to) those regarding confidentiality,
health and safety and equality and diversity.
About us
We are an
independent GP practice with just short of 6000 patients, over two sites. We
hold family values as an integral part of running the surgeries as well as
striving to maintain a good work/life balance which ultimately increases drive
and application during the course of day to day work.
Our set
up comprises three partners, two of which are GP partners, Practice Manager, Assistant PM, two long term locums, alongside 1 x prescribing ANP & Nurse Practitioner, 2 x HCA's, 2 x GPA's and 8 non-clinical staff, the majority of whom
work between the two sites.
Loyalty
and kinship have been enjoyed in our "team" orientated practice, with
colleagues tending to leave due to retirement or relocation.
We hold
regular meetings at all levels, where everyone's contribution is welcomed.
We currently hold a tier 2 visa sponsorship.
