Clinical Lead - Audiology

Location: Hybrid

Responsible to: Service Manager (Operations), and Medical Director (Clinical)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Lead Audiologist to combine leadership duties with hands-on patient assessment, care and clinical audit’s, ensuring appropriate clinical standards are achieved within the service. The Clinical lead will be a Senior Clinical Audiologist.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Lead will be responsible for the production of clinical care pathways and operational protocols for the delivery and management of Audiology and Hearing Aid services.

Reporting to the Service Manager and the Medical Director, the Clinical Lead will assist in the development of audiology services and alignment to contractual requirements across the business, actively seek ways of reducing financial outgoings by new ways of working and motivating all the staff to deliver maximum efficiency.

The Clinical Lead will quality control the care provided by the clinical team and contractors, including the delivery of random audits and will also participate in supervision, review’s and outpatient clinics, taking appropriate action to maintain and improve standards of patient safety and quality of care at all times and driving best practice in overall patient care, efficiency, performance against service level Key Performance Indicators.

  • Conduct audits of clinical standards and contribute to the clinical leadership of the service
  • Provide a comprehensive and systematic assessment of the patient to include lifestyle impact
  • Support the development of training plan and web based information 
  • Ensuring that clinical staff are appropriately skilled for recruitment selection and are fully trained on the service equipment prior to commencing in the service
