Who we are looking for
- Registered Paramedic with the HCPC
- Experience in an urgent care or primary care setting is desirable
- Independent prescriber (preferred) or willingness to work towards it
- Excellent clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Confident and efficient using Microsoft Office and IT based patient clinical systems (EMIS is preferable)
- Current DBS check Occupation Health Clearance
- Must have access to own vehicle and relevant up to date business insurance
- Work across our 3 sites as required
We are looking for a motivated and caring Paramedic Practitioner to join our friendly GP practice team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your clinical skills in a hybrid general practice and patient home based environment. You'll be part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team, helping us to provide safe, high quality care both in the surgery and out in the community. As a valued member of the team, you'll also carry out home visits and care home rounds, supporting patients in their own environment and making a real difference to their comfort, independence, and quality of life.We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and supporting each other so that we can deliver the best possible care to our patients. Main duties of the job
- Working autonomously but with full clinical support, you will manage patients presenting with a wide range of minor illness and injury, as well as long-term conditions where appropriate
- You will assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients who attend the surgery
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacy Technician and admin team
- Support the management of long-term conditions and care planning
- Support and participate in shared learning across the practice
