Job summary
We are a proactive surgery and support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that encourage patients to live healthily and apply principles of self-care.
The role will incorporate assessment care for patients presenting with uncomplicated wounds. Support and manage health needs of women presenting for cervical cytology consultations. Experience in this role would be advantageous but training can be given.
Main duties of the job
Primary Responsibilities
- Smear procedures
- Depo injections
- ECGs
- Removal of clips and sutures
- Wound dressings to include compression bandaging
- Vaccinations to include FLU, Shingles, pneumo, RSV
- Child nasal flu
- Travel vaccinations
- Venepuncture
- Whooping cough vaccination
- Zoladex/Prostap and similar injections
- Housebound visits if applicable
