Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed Advanced Practitioner to join our continuously expanding team at Newton Drive Health Centre, Blackpool.

The post holder will have the necessary qualifications, experience and skills to manage their caseload to a high standard, delivering a high-quality service to those under our care and their families. We are a team of compassionate, inclusive and committed people working together to provide excellent care to support our community.

Main duties of the job

The Advanced Practitioner will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing Acute Triage consultations for patients to include history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care whilst providing expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.

The Advanced Practitioner will need to prioritise and assess the needs of the patients, accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.

We would accept applications from candidates who hold and Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent and who have experience working within a similar role, additionally we would accept applications from candidates who may have a special interest in a chosen field.

About us

We are a single site Practice with over 12000 patients and a clinical team consisting of 4 Partner GPs, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Trainee Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses and 3 Healthcare Assistants as well as various PCN roles.

Clinical Nursing Practice

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and high-quality care.
  • Perform clinical nursing practice using expert clinical skills, critical judgements & knowledge to deliver appropriate and safe care.
