Exciting Opportunity for a newly qualified GP (Please only apply

As a General Practitioner (GP) employed through the Additional
Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) within a Primary Care Network (PCN), you will
provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working as part of a
multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a recently qualified GP,
offering the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and confidence in a
supportive environment. You will manage a range of acute and chronic
conditions, participate in health promotion and contribute to team-based care
plans, with appropriate supervision. The post encourages professional growth
through regular feedback, mentoring and opportunities for further training in
line with early-career development.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to build on our
existing team of motivated Clinical Practitioners. We feel that there is ample
opportunity within the organisation to improve the care of our patients and we
believe that this job can be an exciting part of this journey. The successful
candidate will have access to direct mentoring and supervision from one of our
very experienced Partners. As we are an educationally focused organisation, we
are happy to support further education on an ongoing basis. Day to day the role
will consist of acute patient assessment via history taking, the use of long
term condition management and also engaging in health promotion and lifestyle
advice. The successful candidate will also be given allocated administration
time to cover any patient follow up work.
We will ensure that you are trained in
all the competencies that are required for the role.

We serve approximately 17000 socially and culturally diverse
patients. We work from a large modern purpose build facility offering a range
of services caring for the needs of our patients which extends beyond
traditional GP healthcare. Our Community Hub, situated in reception was set up
with our patients overall wellbeing in mind. It offers a place to come together
and enjoy shared interests and hobbies on a weekly basis with activities
ranging from walking and knitting, to gardening working locally with social
prescribers.
We operate a nationally recognised social prescribing service and
have high standing in our locality.
The practice is made up of a large family of professionals comprising
of GPs, Nurses, HCAs, TNA, a Physiotherapist and our Physician Associates. In
addition we have an experienced management and administration team who work
together with the shared aim of providing excellent patient care to all of our
patients. This is a shared vision for both the partners and the staff of the
practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective consultations with patients in person and via telephone.
- Manage a wide range of clinical presentations, including acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive health issues.
- Triaging and conducting home visits where clinically appropriate for housebound patients.
- Provide ongoing care for patients with long-term conditions, including care planning and regular reviews.
- Prescribe medications safely in line with current guidance and the local formulary.
- Review and action pathology results, correspondence, and medication requests efficiently and accurately.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Promote health education and preventative strategies to support patient wellbeing.
- Refer patients to secondary or specialist care where appropriate and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and contemporaneous patient records using the clinical IT system.
Administrative Duties
- Participate in the daily clinical workload including document management, prescription requests, referrals, and results processing.
- Ensure follow-up of patients as clinically indicated and arrange appropriate reviews.
- Contribute to the development and review of practice protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Work in line with CQC standards and participate in audit and quality improvement activities.
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain professional registration and comply with GMC regulations and revalidation requirements.
- Participate in annual appraisal and develop a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
- Keep up to date with evidence-based practice, NICE guidance, and local pathways.
- Engage in clinical teaching of medical students and trainees if applicable.
- Foster good working relationships with colleagues across the Primary Care Network and wider healthcare system.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold information governance principles at all times.
