An exciting opportunity has
arisen for the position of First Contact Physiotherapist to join our welcoming
and friendly team at Omnia Medical Practice, a forward thinking practice based
in the East of Birmingham.
We are looking to employ an
FCP to join our existing team on a full time basis to help us expand and develop
our chronic LTC management.
The successful candidate
will be joining a team of; 7 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Pharmacist, 1 ANP, 4
Physician Associates, 3 Nurses and 4 HCAs.
Main duties of the job
The role is a patient
centred role that requires a qualified and dedicated Physiotherapist to work as
part of a large clinical team to participate in all treatment and preventative
healthcare services in the practice as delegated and agreed by supervising
clinician(s).
The postholder will need to
confidently evidence key skills such as excellent verbal and written
communication skills, substantial experience working as a Physiotherapist role
in which clinical skills formed part of their role in primary care or similar.
Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team is essential to promote
and deliver innovative ways of working to meet the strategic aims of the
organisation.

Assess, diagnose, triage and manage patients presenting with
neck pain/ back pain/ joint pain/ soft tissue pain/ muscle pain/ conditions
such as arthritis
Progress and request investigations (e.g. X-Rays/ Blood
tests) and referrals to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment
Develop integrated & tailored care programmes in
partnership with patients
Provide a range of first line treatment options
Make use of their full scope of practice, including skills
relating to independent prescribing, injection therapy and investigation
