Job summary

Paddock and Longwood Family Practice is looking for a full time enthusiatic, patient focused and independently motivated Registered Nurse Associate to join our friendly team.

We are looking for a Nurse Associate who can work independantly, but under the supervision of our Senior Nurse, who will support with all aspects of the job.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about directly improving patient care and can deliver high quality care to our patients and is patient focused. Have good comuunication and interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of a Nursing Associate

Main duties will include but not limited to:

Assisting and performing routine nursing tasks which are related to patient care

The necessary trainng to allow you to undertake adult and child NHS immunisation programmres and perform cervical screening.

Has competencies in venepuncture, ECG's, Spirometry, wound care management

To support Chronic disease Management

Provide general health promotion and NHS Health Checks

Chaperone and assist patient where approprite who are being examined by our clinicians

To be able to perform cario-pulmonay resuscitation (BLS) and automated Defibrillator according to current UK guidelines, training and updates will be provided annually

We are a very friendly practice that strives to provide the higest standard of Health Care to the Whole of Our practice population of 9,000 patients

We have 4 partners, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Health Care Assistant a regular locum and have a non clinical team of 11

We are very much involved with our Primary Care Network (PCN) , one of our partners is the clinical lead and the PCN manager if based here. We work closely with member practices. Our wider team also comprise of practice pharmacies, social prescribers and mental health workers

We are a training practice with 8 GP Regstrars and house 3rd Year Medical students, 9 months of the year. We are happy to support and develop the right person to develop in their role.
