Job summary
We are looking for someone who can join our friendly team of clinician's and administrative staff. We receive many comments from our patient's saying that we are still the "old family practice", we not only have a great team working in the practice but also have wonderful patients who appreciate the caring work we provide.
Main duties of the job
Delivering day to day support to patients who request to be seen face to face, have telephone consultations or general enquiries.
Booking appointments via the telephone, in person or from internet requests
Recalling patients for chronic disease management and other follow up appointments
Sign posting patients to other agents e.g. Pharmacies, online services
About us
We are in an old Town house practice which has been established as a GP surgery for many years. Over the years the building has changed but there remains a calm and pleasant feeling for both patients and staff
Ran by three Partners and supported by three salaried GP's.The nursing team is made up of 5. They are Nurses, health care assistant and phlebotomist.
Administration is covered mainly by part-time members of staff as the day starts at 7.30 a.m. and finishes at 7 p.m.
Attached to the staff is a Muscular skeletal consultant

and monitoring the practice appointment system b.
Process
personal, telephone and e-requests for appointmentsc.
Answer
incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request
appropriatelyd.
Signpost
patients to the correct service e.g. Pharmacists, MSK, online servicese.
Initiating
contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and
external agenciesf.
Entering
data through the EMISweb clinical system and Docmang.
Photocopy
and scanning documentation as requiredh.
Data
entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as
requiredi.
Online
access and proxy requestsj.
Direct
requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA
forms to the administrative teamk.
Manage
all queries as necessary in an efficient mannerl.
Maintain
a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesm.
Monitor
and maintain the reception area and notice boardsn.
Support

of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
