Our well-established and highly regarded medical practice is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking manager to support our commitment to delivering exceptional general practice services. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our large training practice which prides itself on combining innovation with the traditional values of patient-centred family medicine. The ideal candidate would be an experienced manager with strong HR and business acumen who can drive positive change and growth whilst collaborating closely with our experienced and dedicated practice team. Our practice, which comprises six partners, has a history of exceptional doctor retention, with many practitioners having spent their entire careers with us. Situated in a purpose-built health centre in Blackburn, we also operate a branch surgery at Mellor Surgery within the Ribble Valley.

Main duties of the job

  • As the practice manager, you will take the lead in overseeing the overall running of the practice, including HR management for all practice staff.You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and managing the business aspects of the practice, with the support of a Deputy Manager and the Executive Partner. Staying informed about local and national healthcare initiatives and maximizing the practice's potential will be central to your responsibilities.Overall, the practice manager role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of healthcare services, supporting the practice in providing high-quality, patient-centred care while ensuring its long-term sustainability and success.   • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) in healthcare management preferred.

  • Proven experience in healthcare or general practice management.
  • Strong leadership experience, managing teams in a clinical or administrative environment.
  • Experience with NHS systems, regulations, and contracts.
