REPORTS TO: Manager

HOURS: Various shifts to be covered; Hours range from 8.30am 5.30pm Monday, Friday and Saturday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

JOB SUMMARY

To assist clinicians in the care of Solihealth patients to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education. The post will also include some administrative duties

Chaperone

Supporting in stock up keep and ordering

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR POST

An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality

An ability to sure own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and local knowledge to respond to patients enquiries and requests

Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities

Basic keyboard and computer skills

Flexibility of working hours

Excellent communication skills

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE ORGANISATION

Contributing to service development and implementation of the service contract

Awareness of and compliance with all relevant Solihealth policies/guidelines/procedures, e.g. safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety

A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice

Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records

Contributing to the summarising of patient records

COMMUNICATION

The post-holder should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and will strive to:

Communicate effectively with other team members

Communicate effectively with patients and carers

Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly

Attending training events organised by Solihealth where appropriate
