Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and
organised Assistant Practice Manager to support the smooth running of our busy
and friendly GP practice. Working closely with the Practice Manager and admin
staff, the post holder will play a key role in the day-to-day operational
management of the practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and
effective services to our patient population.
This is an excellent opportunity for an

Provide day-to-day
supervision and support to administrative and reception staff.Assist with training, and ongoing development
Support staff rota
management, attendance monitoring, and performance management
Contribute to and undertake
staff appraisals for line-managed staff

inclusive, and supportive working environment
Patient Services
Ensure a high standard of
patient care and customer service at all times
Support the management of
patient complaints in line with practice policy
Promote and support the use
of online services, including the NHS App and e-consultation systems . Monitor
and manage DNAs (Did Not Attend appointments)
Quality & Compliance
Support the implementation
of systems to ensure compliance with CQC standards and regulations Assist in maintaining policies and
procedures, including COSHH and Health & Safety
Contribute to clinical
governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Support delivery and
monitoring of QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) targets
Ensure compliance with
safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults
Finance & Administration
Support financial processes
including invoicing, budgeting, and cost control
Oversee administrative
