Are you looking for a permanent change ? Come and join a very well established GP Surgery comprising of 5 GPs , 1ANP, 1 Minor Illness nurse , 3 Practice nurses , 2 HCAs and a full team of administrators. This is an exciting new role we are recruiting for to expand our current team.
The surgery has over 12,000 patients registered so although every day is exceptionally busy we pride ourselves on working in an environment that consists of mutual respect and appreciation.

Main duties of the job
Working autonomously within your professional scope (with GP support on hand if required) A mixture of face to face appointments and telephone appointments along with some home visits and an allocated amount of admin work comprising of but not limited to clincal letters , filing pathology results,

Responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; diagnosing and treating patients presenting with acute illness seeing and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs. These patients will have booked appointments at ten-minute intervals. There is a requirement to see extra or emergency patients. Patients with problems needing referral to secondary care should be discussed with the registered GP before making such referral.
- Triage and treat patients wishing to see a health care professional making any necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team
- Ensure clinical practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence and to acknowledge limitations.
Advise patients on general health care and minor ailments with referral to other members of the primary and secondary health care team as necessary
- Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team
- Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients notes
- Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up to date with accurate details recorded and amended
- Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care with the practice
