Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner

Job summary

This post is open to Advanced Nurse Practitioners or Allied Health Professionals such as Paramedics working at Advanced Clinical Practitioner level.

We are looking to expand our amazing existing team of Paramedics in our forward thinking, multi-professionally staffed team urgent/on the day care team.

Hathaway Medical Centre is a pioneer in promoting a hugely varied skill mix of staff, including Nurses, Trainee and Registered Nurse Associates, Paramedics and Physicians Associates, as well as our PCN based Urgent Care Centre, Physios, General Practice Assistants and Pharmacists,

We are looking for a health professional to help manage our on the day demand of undifferentiated care, as well as taking responsibility for possibly a care home ward round or home visits. Independent prescribing qualification is desirable or the need to work towards this.

You would work along side GP's and other multidisciplinary professionals who provide support and advice where needed, as well as clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job

Primary Responsibilities

  • Telephone and face to face diagnostics
  • Carrying out clinical examination of patients
  • Diagnosis based on assessment of the patient
  • Requesting any additional tests/X-rays etc
  • The confidence to refer to specialists/Secondary Care as necessary.

Desirable

  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • PADRAP qualification
  • Further training in acute presentation minor illness

Experience

  • Will have worked as a Nurse practitioner, Paramedic or RGN previously.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within a multi discipline setting
  • Previous experience of working in Primary Care
