We were ranked in the top 10 Practices where our patients voted we delivered excellent standards of care so overall the surveys sent out indicated our patients were satisfied with the care they had received.

The Practice has just been rated Good by the CQC in a recent inspection.

We are a very dynamic and resilient team who have kept one step head of all the current changes within the NHS.

We also workcollaboratively with other Practices to deliver extended services such as the Covid Vaccination Campaigns, Extended Access and the delivery of Diagnostic Services.

Main duties of the job

Job Spec.

Deal with ALL general telephone enquiries, triage and sign-post patients to appropriate service.

Taking requests for prescription orders over the telephone prepare electronic repeat prescription request for electronic signing.

Relaying results to patients once actioned by GP

Implement appropriate referral proformas to third Party Health Care providers

Home visit requests

Deal with general enquiries and complaints

Register New Patients and Temporary Residents.

Direct patients & visitors sign-posting them to appropriate Health Care Professional.

Check in patient's arrival for their appointments on the EMIS Web Clinical System.

Handing out prescriptions and fit notes to patients.

Ensure outstanding queries are handed over to next shift, as deemed necessary.

Filing empty Lloyd -George envelopes and New Patient records received from Health Authority ensure records are filed correctly in alphabetical order.

Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions prepare prescription for Electronic prescribing.

Raising prescriptions as per Practice protocols.

Input and extract information from Practice computer system ensuring accuracy.

1 Main Reception - face to face duties dealing with ALL General related enquiries face to face, New Patient Registrations and Temporary Resident patients who are wishing to join the Practice complete relevant registration forms

Meet & Greet welcoming all patients and visitors, sign posting ALL visitors to the correct Health Care Professional ensure visitors have signed the visitors book Ensure ALL patients are checked in to the appropriate Health CareProfessional

2 Arrange Interpreting Services appropriate ensuring suitable appointment for both the patient and interpreting service

3 Ensure Waiting Areas are clean and tidy noting any potential risks such as spillages or any obstructions left from patients report straight away to line manager Ensure waiting areas are fully stocked with Practice Leaflets

4 Telephone - Deal with all related telephone enquiries prescription request, test results, home visits, New Patient Registrations and Temporary resident Registrations

5 Repeat Prescription request and queries - prepare electronic repeat prescription requests for electronic signature. All non repeat prescription requests to sign post a task to appropriate prescriber

6 Summarisation of records - ensure accurate data entry of summarisation of records when new patients register

7 GP2GP NEW PATIENT REGISTRATIONS ensure records have been received correctly through the Registration Data Flow within the EMIS Web Tasks Flow Manager

8 Deduction Requests - prepare patients digital record request and print patient deduction label and return records/ back to PCSE in the appropriate courier bag/s

9 Subject to access requests prepare copy records for patient of third party provider

10 Scanning - scan reports and Hospital letters scan and file accurately into patients records

11 Workflow Optimisation - Monitor letters from incoming third party providers, code relevant entries and sign post if any action to appropriate Health Care Professionals

12 Confidentiality - Adopting the Confidentiality Code of General Practice at all times ensuring all information is safe and kept locked away

13 PPG Patient Participation Group actively engage patients by promoting support materials provided by Practice Keep Notice Board up to date
