Job responsibilities

Working with the nurse team, providing care for patients as directed by the practice nurse or GP; the post holder will be required to use their own initiative but must be able to recognise their own limitations and seek guidance where necessary.

Dermatology practice includes:

Assisting the Consultant Dermatologist or GPwSI in dermatology clinics either in the consulting room or the minor operations theatre.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

• Experience of working in minor operations

Desirable

• Experience of working in primary care
• Experience of working in a GP Practice

Qualifications

Essential

• - Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in HCA or Health and Social Care.
• - GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths (or Literacy / Numeracy at Level 2 or above).
• - Fully trained in assisting minor operations.

• - Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• - Excellent IT skills
• - Uses initiative
• - Able to prioritise
• - Is confident and enthusiastic
• - Can be flexible and a team player
