Job summary
We are seeking an experienced HCA/Phlebotomist to join our busy and friendly team for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave. The Three Spires Medical Practice has approximately 18,000 patients and is situated in Truro city.
We have up to 32 hours available (over four days, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). Your earliest start will be 7.00 am and the latest finish will be 5.30 pm.
Primarily assisting in our 'see and treat' Dermatology service, you will also be involved with providing health care services and venepuncture.
Main duties of the job
Ideally you will have minor operations experience as you will be assisting in our Dermatology clinics (a 'see and treat' service). You will also be an experienced HCA / Phlebotomist with excellent venepuncture skills and the ability to carry out a range of duties including INR, administering flu injections, urinalysis, diabetic foot checks, BP monitoring and measuring/monitoring ECGs.

The Three Spires Medical Practice is a large, forward-thinking GP Practice with a friendly team (comprising 20 GPs, a team of 7 nurses and 13 HCAs and our own physiotherapy team), who look after approximately 18,000 patients in and around Truro City.
We are a training practice which means that you may have medical students observing and participating in your clinical sessions.
