Job summary

Newly qualified Salaried GP under NHS additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme {ARRS}Essential criteria

Full registration with the GMC (General Medical Council) and included in the NHS England list of medical practitioners.

Newly qualified Salaried GP with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice obtained within the last two years.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, using electronic health records and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

About us

Bowland Medical practice is a well-established training practice hosting GP trainees. We have seven GP partners as well as employing practice nurses and allied health professionals. We pride ourselves on having a friendly, supportive and dynamic team that is committed to providing high quality care to our local population of over 8,000 patients. We participate actively in research and development with RSI Level 3 accreditation. We also have in house physiotherapy, podiatry, mental health and pharmacy services.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, and additional services where appropriate.

Deliver high-quality clinical care while working autonomously as a GP, adhering to GMC standards and the GMS contract.

Manage a diverse caseload, including the assessment and treatment of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Develop and implement care plans in consultation with patients, providing counselling and health education.

Complete a share of daily tasks, queries and prescription sign offs.

Engage in personal and professional development, including participating in annual appraisals, revalidation, and maintaining professional registration.

Responsibilities will reflect requirements of the NHS GP Contracts, and as such may be subject to change as services adapt.

Maintain confidentiality of patients' records.

Makes effective use of the IT system EMIS by ensuring the consistent and accurate entering of data and codes, ensuring all contacts with patients are legibly recorded.

Contributes to practice/team audit /research as required.

Support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues.

Follow practice infection control procedures, promote and maintain appropriate health & safety standards in line with the practice Health & Safety Policy
