Job summary

As a Medical Practice Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our medical practice. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for all visitors.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and staff rooms to the highest standards.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the premises.
  • Ensure all medical equipment surfaces and high-touch areas are disinfected regularly.
  • Empty waste bins and dispose of waste according to our medical waste procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage and organisation of cleaning supplies.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
  • Follow all infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Work within the designated cleaning schedule and maintain flexibility when additional cleaning is needed.

  • Previous experience in cleaning, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control standards in healthcare settings.
