Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Practice Nurse tojoin our welcoming primary care team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse early in their career who is interested in developing skills within primary care.

You will work closely with our experienced nursing team and GPs to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care within GP practice clinics
  • Undertake basic clinical procedures such as:
    • Wound care and dressings
    • Blood pressure monitoring
    • ECGs
    • Phlebotomy (training can be provided if needed)
    • Cervical screening (smear tests)
    • Womens Health (Contraception)Support long-term condition management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD
    • Provide immunisations and vaccinations (training provided if required)Contribute to health promotion and patient education
    • Maintain accurate clinical records
    • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
