Job summary

Chester South PCN is a network of 4 GP surgeries: City Walls Medical Centre, Lache Health Centre, Handbridge Medical Centre and Western Avenue Medical Centre. Together we provide a Primary Care Service to over 35,000 patients.

The Admin Coordinator Role is an exciting opportunity to join us and be part of the delivery of the Network Contract Directed Enhanced Service (DES); helping us to shape and inform innovative and exiting new services in Chester South PCN. You will have a very important role helping support the PCN Agenda and delivery of care.

Main duties of the job

Your main tasks will include planning and organising meetings, writing notes and actions. Supporting the PCN Leadership team with a variety of projects, enabling the PCN to meet their Network Contract DES requirements.

About us

You will work closely along side the Clinical Directors and Business Manager of the PCN as well as the Practice Mangers and Clinical Leads within the four practices.

Job responsibilities

Key skills and experience required for the role include:

Excellent IT and communication skills, flexibility, a can-do attitude.

Financially numerate.

The ability to be adaptable and not constrained by processes and organisational boundaries.

The ideal candidates will be responsive and patient-focused, and a champion for change.

NHS system experience such as EMIS.

Experience with Social Media.

Ability to travel across our four Practices is essential.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

Support with the planning and organising Monthly Board Meetings, plus any other ad hoc PCN Meetings taking of minutes.

Monitor and report on progress across the PCN Network Contract DES and IIF.

Management of PCN Network Drive, e.g., MS Teams (regular upload of minutes and any other important documents, including Network Agreement).

PCN Data submissions and PCN IT requirements.

To support the project management of workstreams across multiple clinical areas.

Write, design, and publish internal newsletters to on a regular basis.

Participate in website maintenance and updates.

Supporting with the financial administration of PCN Accounts: paying and reconciling invoices including salary reimbursement, support with budget planning and balancing and claiming relevant funding.

Support with Network contracts and governance including the possible development of the PCN as a Limited Company.

Primary support to the PCN Leadership Team:

Understanding all relevant PCN contracts and service requirements both local and national.

Supporting the development of excellent relationships across the network and other key stakeholders to enable collaboration for better patient outcomes.

Supporting the PCN Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership for workforce development, through assessment of clinical skill-mix and development of network workforce strategy.

Supporting network implementation of agreed service changes and pathways, working closely with member practices, the wider PCN and the commissioner to develop, support and deliver local improvement programmes aligned to national and local priorities.

Developing relationships and working closely with other local teams, health and social care providers, local commissioners, and the third sector.

To support the production and presentation of formal reports.

This primary support will involve co-attendance at meetings and the distribution of important information and correspondence to the PCN Board
