Practice Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP surgery team on a maternity cover basis, starting in September 2025. This is a key role within the clinical team and we are looking for someone confident and competent in delivering high-quality care in a busy general practice setting.

The role could be full time or part time and we may consider shorter length contracts for the right person.

Main duties of the job

Were looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. To thrive in this role, youll need current NMC registration and proven experience working in a GP surgery. Youll be skilled in delivering a wide range of treatment room duties, including immunisations, cervical screening, wound care and chronic disease management. While independent prescribing is desirable, its not essential. In return, youll join a dedicated, welcoming team that values high-quality patient care and supports each other every step of the way.

We are a well-established, busy and growing GP Practice operating from two surgeries with a friendly and supportive team of 40+ staff. (GP Partners, Clinical, Admin and Patient Support teams).
