Job summary
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic resilient individual to join our team.We embrace technology to enable more effective and efficient ways of working.We operate a digital remote triage, via EConsult designed to help as many patients as possible to see the most appropriate clinician in the correct timescale.
This role is to assess patients that have been triaged by one of our senior GPs together with supporting the triage team. The role will also involve assessment of patients in the home.
The post is based over 2 General Practice Sites across Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
To undertake assessment for patients attending the surgery or within the community. Obtaining thorough history, using diagnostic skills and initiation of investigations where appropriate.
Supporting the triage team, accessing EConsult forms submitted by patients ensuring that they are triaged to the most appropriate clinician in the correct timescale.
Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management where appropriate, including signposting patients to the PCNs social prescribing service, and where appropriate, other community or voluntary services.

There are 8 partners 5 salaried GPs, 2 ACPs and 2 Paramedics. We have an experienced nursing team and excellent administration team. We are forward thinking and have a number of ARRS staff including Mental Health Practitioner, MSK, Paramedic, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Dietician and Care Co-Ordinators

- Mandatory registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Have completed a 2 years Consolidation of Learning period as a newly qualified paramedic
- Have completed a further 3 years experience as a Band 6 [or equivalent] paramedic
- Evidence of enhanced clinical assessment
Desirable
- An appreciation of the nature of GPs and general practices
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Able to obtain and analyse complex technical information
- Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
