We are looking for a motivated, experienced primary care basedPharmacy Technician to bring their expertise to our multi-disciplinary team, helping us to deliver safe, effective and innovative healthcare to our community.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integral part of the practice team, working within your professional boundaries and under the supervision of the Partnership. You will:

Ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients.

Provide technical and administrative support to clinicians.

Support patients with medication queries and optimise safe prescribing.

Carry out audits, contribute to QOF and incentive schemes, and support antimicrobial stewardship.

Assist in medicines reconciliation, optimisation tasks, and patient safety initiatives.

Work collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, reception, and the wider PCN team.

As our Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting patients directly through consultations, medicines use reviews, and health advice.

Conducting medicines optimisation tasks, including reconciliation, audits, and monitoring of high-risk medicines.

Working with care homes, community pharmacies, and secondary care teams to ensure safe and seamless medicines transfers.
