About the Practice
Riversdale Surgery is a vibrant and forward-thinking practice located in the heart of Belper, a charming market town and gateway to the Peak District. We serve a diverse patient population of 13,500 and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our semi-rural location combines the benefits of working in a close-knit community with easy access to the stunning natural beauty of the Peak District.
We boast a high-performing, multidisciplinary team including five GP Partners, six Salaried GPs, eight nurses, two Frailty ACPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Workers, a Care Coordinator, and an FCP service. Our proactive collaboration with three other local practices within the Primary Care Network (PCN) ensures comprehensive and innovative patient care.

Main duties of the job
Your Role
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality primary care services through face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
- Managing a diverse caseload, including chronic disease management and acute care.
- Participating in clinical reports, training registrars, and supervising medical students.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic and effective care.
About You
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Riversdale Surgery for a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join our positive, friendly, and supportive team at Riversdale Surgery for 8 sessions per week on a 9-month maternity contract to be part of and enhance our team.You will bring:
- Full GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS National Performers List.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
- A dedication to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
- Proficiency with SystmOne and other digital healthcare tools (desirable).
