Job summary
We are a large, friendly, training practice in the market town of
Leighton Buzzard and seek a part-time Practice Nurse to join our clinical team. The post will initially be for 2 days a week (Tue & Fri) with the likelihood that increased hours will be offered in the future for succession planning.
Main duties of the job
The role comprises general nursing support including: adult &
baby imms, cervical cytology, travel advice & imms, ear irrigation, ECG's,
health promotion, phlebotomy and wound care. An interest or experience in diabetes would be welcomed (development/ support would be provided).
About us
Our nurse team comprises 3 part-time Practice Nurses, a Diabetic Nurse,
3 extended-role HCAs and 5 ANPs. Other members of the team include 8 GP
partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 clinical pharmacists and 4 dispensers, all of whom
are supported by our amazing admin, reception and secretarial teams. We work
closely with the other 2 practices in the town and together form
Leighton-Linslade Health Connections (the PCN in our area). Our growing PCN is
helping to relieve pressure on our practice team with their own team
of clinical and administrative staff.
