Job summary

We will soon have an exciting opportunity for a five or six session Partner GP, due to retirement, at this thriving city practice. We have a low turnover of Partners, Salaried GPs & Management, reflecting the culture of the practice and how we work as a team.

As a GP Partner key focus is on both clinical care and strategic leadership. You will be involved in shaping our future, contributing to decision-making, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and caring healthcare.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join our vibrant practice as a GP Partner. This role offers the opportunity to become a key part of a progressive and patient-focused medical practice, with shared responsibility for the management and development of the practice alongside clinical duties.

About us

Our Practice has 6 Partners, 3 Salaried GP's, Nurse Team & a Multi-skilled Administration Team. It is part of the Cambridge City PCN & we have many allied professional colleagues providing services, such as Pharmacist, MSK, Midwifery & Mental Health.

The working culture aims to meet the needs of all our patients in a caring, timely and appropriate manner. We have high patient satisfaction scores.

Great value is placed on a good work life balance. We offer good working conditions in a supportive and friendly environment; with a manageable workload and great team.

The Practice is just off the City centre with in a purpose built building with dedicated Staff Car Park. We have a patient list size of 11,100.

We are a Training Practice with teaching and coaching at all levels, from Students to GP Trainee Registrars. York Street is also Research active.

There is a daily coffee meeting plus a timetable of regular educational meetings.

  • 1.Fully qualified and registered General Practitioner with the GMC
  • 2.On current Performers List Primary Medical Services Performer List Regulations
  • 3.Eligibility to work in the UK
  • 4.Full & clear DBS Disclosure
  • 5.Up to date BLS/CPR
  • 6.Up to date Safeguarding Level 3

Desirable

  • 1.Higher Post Graduate membership. MRCGP.
  • 2.Specialist trained interest
  • 3.Qualified or prepared to qualify as a Trainer
