Job summary
Part time Practice Nurse position 25-30 hrs per week.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and positive individual to join our nursing team at Stable Fold Surgery to assist medical personnel in the care of patients to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education.
To share workload and responsibilities with the team making the best use of clinical skills within the practice.
To provide high quality care.
Main duties of the job
The Practice Nurse, acting within their professional boundaries within the NMC standards. You will perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the Clinicians; Cytology Health Checks, Health Promotion, ECGS, Chronic disease management including diabetes, respiratory disease, CVD, Routine immunisations, childhood immunisations, chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinicians.
They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
The practice nurse will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process.
About us
We are a small friendly training practice and our team consists of 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GP's, 1 ANP, 1 Practice nurse, 1 HCA and a supportive admin team.
We perform well,both in terms of Bolton Quality Contract and Qof.
We also have our ARRS staff which work for the Westhoughton PCN consisting of MSK, MH Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacists, Visiting Paramedic and social prescribers, GP Assistant and Care coordinator

Organise and co-ordinate the provision of nursing services for the practice to include the delegation of duties to other practice nursing staff as appropriate.
Provide nursing treatments to patients in participation with general practitioners or independently to agreed protocols.
Provide general and specific health screenings to the practice patients (within agreed protocols) with referral to general practitioners as necessary.
Advise patients on general health care and minor ailments with referral to GPs as necessary.
To assess, plan and evaluate nursing care to meet the needs of individuals and groups in the practice population.
