Job summary
Lunesdale Surgery is seeking to appoint either
a 4-6 session Salaried GP or a 24-hour per week Advanced Clinical Practitioner
to join our friendly, well-established training and dispensing practice in the
beautiful Lune Valley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a

Main duties of the job
Salaried GP (4-6 Sessions)
- Provide routine and urgent GP consultations (face-to-face, telephone and online)
- Participate in the duty rota (pro rata)
- Undertake home visits as clinically appropriate (essential)
- Prescribe safely and cost-effectively within a dispensing environment
- Contribute to QOF, enhanced services and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
- Participate in clinical meetings and governance
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of GP Registrars and medical students (where appropriate)
This role offers genuine continuity of care within a manageable list size and strong peer support from experienced GP partners.
Advanced Clinical Practitioner (24 Hours Per Week)
- Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients with undifferentiated and long-term conditions
- Provide same-day and routine appointments
- Prescribe independently (V300 essential)
- Work autonomously within scope of practice
- Support chronic disease management and preventative care
- Undertake home visits where appropriate and within scope of practice (desirable)
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
- Prescribe safely within a dispensing practice framework

Lunesdale Surgery is a well-established GP
training and dispensing practice serving approximately 6,500 patients in the
beautiful Lune Valley.
We are a stable and cohesive team comprising 5
GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a skilled Nursing
Team, an experienced Dispensary Team, and dedicated Reception and
Administrative colleagues. Teamwork and mutual support are central to how we
work, and we pride ourselves on being approachable and collaborative.
As a dispensing practice, we provide
integrated medicines management for eligible patients, allowing close working
relationships between clinicians and dispensary colleagues and ensuring safe,
efficient prescribing.
We are supported by the Western Dales Primary
Care Network (PCN), giving us access to Social Prescribers, First Contact
Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Mental
Health Practitioners. This strong MDT support allows our clinicians to focus on
delivering high-quality care.
