Job summary

The role is very varied and the reception is a very busy department. There is currently a team of Reception Manager/ Assistant Reception Manager and 7 Receptionists. The staff are all very helpful and work well as a team providing assistance for each other at all times. The role includes face to face/telephone contact with patients and outside agencies, appointment booking, medication requests, general enquiries, registering of new patients and lots of other varied duties.

Main duties of the job

To provide excellent service to patients. The work is varied and interesting it includes answering the phone, making appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patient needs, resolving queries and signposting patients to appropriate service or appointment. You need to be well motivated and friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy environment and being part of a team. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively, showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate. You will be capable of developing good administrative and organisational skills and have experience of using computers

The Team at Kenmore consists of Four Partners, Seven Salaried Doctors, a Nursing Team, HCA Team, GP Registrars, Two Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and we have access to a large range of other services within CHAW
