We currently have a fantastic
opportunity for a newly qualified GP to join our welcoming and well-established
team at our purpose-built surgery in Shiney Row, Washington. This post is
available under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) and is perfect
for doctors within two years of completing their CCT who are seeking their
first substantive GP role.

Main duties of the job
Key
Responsibilities
- Provide consultations during clinics, dealing
with a wide range of health needs
- Participate in duty doctor and telephone
triage systems
- Provide appropriate clinical care, management,
and referrals
- Use EMIS Web for all patient records and
administration
- Complete relevant medical documentation,
including reports, referrals, prescriptions
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team,
admin team, and community staff
- Engage in regular practice meetings, clinical
governance, and educational activities
- Participate in monthly protected CPD
afternoons and utilise allocated PDP time
- Contribute to the continued development of the
PCN and multidisciplinary working
- Supervise and support learners (if desired),
including F2s, registrars, or medical students

excellent transport links to Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham via the nearby

Shiney Row is a large former
mining village with a stable, supportive community, experiencing
continued growth through new housing developments.

Our GPs have specialist interests including medical education, musculoskeletal medicine, respiratory
medicine, ENT, women's health and diabetes. We have a strong
focus on city-wide leadership as the LMC chair and Coalfields PCN Clinical
Director are both partners in the practice.

highest scoring practices for patient satisfaction in the recent national
patient survey and have received commendation from the regional ICB chair and
Chief Executive for this.
