Job summary

Multi facetted role, public facing and fast paced. As well as working on our integrated telephone system and completing administrative tasks during the course of the working day, you will have face to face contact with the patients.

Main duties of the job

Ensuring the patient information is correctly recorded and directed to the appropriate clinical team member or service out side of the practice to aid self care and efficient service.

Attention to detail is key, along with empathy, politness and an ability to problem solve.

We are a family general practice located between Grimsby and Cleethorpes, with a long established reputation for being an excellent training house for upcoming medical staff. We have a friendly, well likedteam, some of whom have been employed here for over 20 years. We are forward thinking and innovative whilst maintaining good values and excellent care. Our patient demographic and numbers are ever growing as is our team.

We have recently taken extra space in another local medical centre to aid our expansion, hence the ability to work across two sites.

Job responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The post holder will have experience within a customer service role, be friendly, approachable, empathetic and have excellent communication skills.
  • The post holder will have good knowledge of Microsoft Word and or possess confident PC skills.
  • The post holder will also have excellent organisation skills and will work well within a busy team environment as well as on their own initiative.
  • The post holder will need to be flexible to work within the practices business opening hours and able to undertake extra hours, due to holidays and sickness at short notice, as and when required.
  • A care co-ordinator/ Administrator is a solution orientated person.
  • The post holder will be involved in all administrative areas with a good solid overview of each role to enable cross cover in the following areas: Reception / call centre/ Administrative allocations.
  • Ensuring relevant work area is clean and tidy and offer a smart image of the practice.
