Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented GP Medical Administrator to join our busy and supportive practice. This is a key role at the heart of our team, helping ensure patient care is supported by efficient and accurate administration.
This is a Band 3 equivalent role, ideal for someone with previous administrative experience who is confident working independently and managing a varied workload.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to clinicians and the wider practice team, ensuring patient information is accurately recorded and managed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment and contributing to high-quality patient care behind the scenes.
This is a fixed-term position for 9-12 months to provide maternity cover.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, including processing clinical correspondence, maintaining patient records, supporting recall systems, and assisting with referrals and workflows.
You will work closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative colleagues to ensure information is managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements.
You will be expected to use your initiative to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
