Job summary

The Harefield Practice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reception Manager to join our friendly Practice team, working across all areas of the practice.

You will work closely and report to the Practice Manager. You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic individual with a positive can-do attitude who is able to organise and co-ordinate a wide range of tasks often within tight timescales and work well under pressure.

This is an exciting role and time to be joining our expanding team.

Providing dedicated day to day administrative support to Practice Manager. Also providing regular support to the reception team Ensure all administrative and clerical requirements are provided in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with practice policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will also be responsible for training new staff members and allocating/actioning tasks as delegated by the Practice Manager.

Supporting the administration and reception team with patient and clinician queries to ensure the smooth running of the practice

Inducting and training new members of the team

Creating Reception rotas, dealing with annual leave and admin staff requests

Creating sessions on EMIS and monitoring Accurx admin portal

Setting up new starters IT log-in details, pathology and smartcard card access. Using EMIS.

You will assist with scheduling training and organising and completing bookings for external training

Assist with reception appraisals, back to work interviews and probation meetings

Provide regular support to the reception, prescription and scanning / coding as required to ensure adequate cover is provided to ensure the work is completed to the deadlines set.

Communication is key the successful candidate will need recognise and implement the importance of effective communication within the team.
