Whinfield Medical Practice are looking for a full time Phlebotomist/Practice Assistant ( Part-time may be considered)
The successful applicant will be responsible for Phlebotomy, performing ECG's, Blood pressure checks and urinalysis.
Previous working experience as a Phlebotomist is
essential. Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
The ability to work independently and prioritise your
workload is required. Good interpersonal communication and organisational
skills are essential.
Main duties of the job

- Weight and height recording
- Chaperoning
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
- Restocking/maintenance of equipment
- Restocking and maintenance of clinical areas and consulting rooms
- Record smoking status and brief intervention
- Blood pressure checks
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
About us
Whinfield Medical Practice is a 7 Doctor, 3 ANP, 1 GP trainee surgery covering 12000 patients in North of Darlington.
We have an employed Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, an excellent nursing team who lead Diabetes care and LTC management, a First Contact Physio, a supportive admin team who minimise our "paperwork" and are led by a Practice Manager who champions us all to be fulfilled at work.
