The Hadleigh Practice is a forward-thinking Practice with a
Multidisciplinary Team of dedicated Clinicians, Managers and Administration
staff, providing high quality GMS services.
We are based over two sites with a total of 20,500 patients.
Due to
maternity leave we are looking for a dynamic and compassionate qualified nurse
to join our team of friendly and supportive nurses, to cover maternity leave
for a 12 month period, starting late December 25.
Applicants
must be RGN registered with at least one year years post registration
experience and have experience in primary care practice nursing. A recognised qualification and/or experience
in at least one respiratory Long-Term Condition (Asthma/COPD) is desirable but
not essential.

Key responsibilitiesClinical practice
- Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate care programmes to promote health and well-being, and prevent adverse effects on health and well-being
- Identify, and manage as appropriate, treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition
- Implement and evaluate individual treatment plans for patients with a known long-term condition including lower leg conditions.
- Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
- Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children
- Advise, support and, where appropriate, administer vaccinations for patients travelling abroad
- Promote and deliver evidence-based care for patients presenting with aural conditions
- Assist senior practitioners in providing minor-surgery sessions
- Assess and care for patients presenting with uncomplicated wounds
- Support and advise women requesting information relating to family planning needs
