The Hadleigh Practice

We are looking for an
enthusiastic and motivated doctor to join our friendly and supportive team for
4 sessions a week.
The Hadleigh Practice is
situated across two purpose-built sites, one at Corfe Mullen and the other in
Broadstone, both with easy access to Poole and Wimborne. We offer our patients a high quality service,
whilst supporting a good work life balance for our team, with high levels of
staff retention.
We have just over 20,000
patients and our clinical team includes 9 partners, 8 salaried GPs, plus ANPs,
pharmacists and an excellent practice nurse team. We are part of Poole North
PCN, which also allows us to offer a wide variety of additional services to our
patients. We are a training practice and
support a number of registrars at any given time.
The clinical team at The
Practice is supported by an experienced Management team, along with IT,
Reception and Admin teams which ensure that administration for the doctors is
minimised and assisted as much as possible.

Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP.
There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be
dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled
population
The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long-term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including
referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative
tasks
On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty
doctor roles
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good
practice, policy and guidance
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the
practice workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical
guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous
improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
Accept delegated responsibility for a list of patients
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as
required
Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of
the practice including; clinical governance, training, financial management and
HR
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare and complete the revalidation process

The post-holder will manage a patient list and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Primary Responsibilities

- A vocational trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGP Current registration with the GMC Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
