We are
looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice in South
Bristol close to the bustling harbourside and vibrant North Street.Bridge View Medical is an established
practice and Primary Care Network in its own right. We have 5 sites in South
Bristol with c39,000 patients cared for by a wonderful team of 150 dedicated
Partners and staff. We are a larger
practice with all the benefits this has to offer while still retaining a
friendly and supportive culture.We are a teaching, training and
research practice and recently became the proud recipient of South Bristol
Academy Teaching Practice Award for our outstanding contribution to medical
teaching.We operate a personalised patient list
offering continuity of care as we strive to provide quality patient care and
job satisfaction for our staff.
Main duties of the job
As well as carrying out a full range of GP services, you will have the opportunity to develop special interests and run clinics such as minor ops, womens health, diabetes & menopause clinics
About us
We are a 14 Partner and 25 Salaried GP practice, supported by a large team of Pharmacists (many of whom are prescribers), Physios, Paramedics, Dietitian, Physician Associates, ANPs, Nurses and HCAs. Most visits are carried out by our extended clinical team.
We have dedicated admin support including a docman team and a pharmacy hub for prescription queries together with an excellent team of Care Coordinators responsible for triaging and patient bookings.
We are rated "Good" by CQC in all areas and rated "Excellent" as a training practice.

We

- 6 sessions per week
- 13 appointments per session (choice of 10 or
15-minutes), mix of telephone & face to face & 3 x GP bookable
- Competitive sessional rate: £11,554 - £11,769
per session per annum
- Enhanced pay for EA/Lead GP/Home visit duties
- Designated home visiting clinician and no
home visits on a routine GP day
- Both routine and same day sessions, variety
of roles/ sessions
- Structured and supportive on-boarding
programme over a 4-6 week period with reduced appointments
- Allocated mentor and dedicated mentoring
sessions for up to 24 months followed by an ongoing buddy support framework
- Active first 5 peer support group and
extended clinical team support available via WhatsApp or Pando
- Support to develop special interests and run
clinics such as minor ops, womens health, diabetes, menopause clinics
- Potential to become Partner
- Salaried GP contract which follows the BMA
model
- Dedicated bi-monthly educational afternoons
and CPD support
- Daily lunchtime get-togethers
- Flexi session start/finish times
- Christmas Leave perk (extra 3 days holiday
every other year on non-working year)
- Private Indemnity Cover and NHS pensions
- 6 weeks leave plus 1 weeks study leave and
bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)
- Additional Appraisal leave
