Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic phlebotomist to join our busy practice based in Dartford. The post holder will be working as part of a Nursing Team, providing high quality nursing care to patients. Previous experience in working in general practice would be an advantage.

The role is for 20 hours per week (7.30am - 12.30pm) on the following days:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be providing support and undertake agreed duties under the supervision of the Registered Nurses, in addition have the ability to work independently. There will be support for you to develop and acquire valuable skills which will enable you to provide excellent care to patients.

Phlebotomy

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses

Administer Flu Vaccinations after Training Course attended

Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation

Chaperoning duties

Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment

Ordering supplies

About us

We are a large Doctors Surgery with an estimated 16000 patients. The phlebotomist role is a very important role within the practice. We have 5 registered nurses and two HCA's currently on the team and we are looking to recruit a phlebotomist part-time

Staff on the team need to be flexible as there is a wide variety of tasks. It is a very busy team and it moves very quickly so prioritising is very important. We do expect professionalism at all times. We have a great team and they will support you as will the management team.
