Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Trainee Business Manager to join our leadership team. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to contribute to the development of a forward thinking practice and, in time, take on senior leadership responsibilities as part of our long term succession plan.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with our experienced Finance Administrator, who is retiring soon, to take on financial duties and responsibilities.
  • Follow a structured development programme to gain experience in all areas of practice management.
  • Be supported to eventually assume full responsibility for the overall business management of the practice when the current Practice Manager retires.

About us

Based across our six site General Practice. All sites close to Durham

We are a large, wellestablished general practice serving nearly twentyseven thousand patients across six sites five patient facing and one administration centre.

With planned retirements within our senior management team over the coming years, we are preparing for the future by restructuring now to ensure a smooth transition.

Essential

  • Experience of working with finance, such as financial administration, budgeting, accounting support or similar responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a management team across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Good general standard of education with grades A to C in English and Maths
  • Finance qualification or significant experience working in a finance role
  • Full UK driving licence
