Wellspring Medical Practice are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated salaried GP to join our well-established and friendly practice team.

The post is replacing a current partner with a salaried GP. The sessions per week would be between 4-5.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate GP to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to our patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Daily responsibilities include:

Conducting patient consultations and examinations.

Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.

Prescribing medication and managing repeat prescriptions.

Referring patients to specialist services when necessary.

Providing preventive care and health education.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Participating in clinical meetings and contributing to practice development.

Supporting the training and development of junior staff and medical students.

Our ethos is to provide high quality care, where a partnership approach with each patient is paramount.

We are proud to be a teaching and training practice, with strong links to Newcastle University Medical School. We support GP registrars and medical students on a regular basis and are highly rated by those who come to spend time with us. We would be interested in a GP trainer who can support the GP registrars in the practice.
